Fireworks
Read through the fireworks and choose five that you think might interest your child. Allow him or her to select 1-3 of them.
Take horse-riding lessons.

Write a story about the various flocks of birds, using the appropriate collective nouns. Let someone else read your story. Can they figure out what types of birds your story is about?
Sculpt a horse 3 or 4 times life size.
Make a model of a horse that is ½ the size of a real one.
Start a feather collection. Identify and catalog the birds they come from.
Make a life-size diagram that shows various bird wingspans.
Work on your genius project.
Play math games.
Observe how different birds fly. Why does one bird flap its wings more than another? Sketch flying birds in your notebook and write your comments about each.
Many stories have been written about horses. Write one of your own.
Every state has a state bird. What is your state’s bird? If you had your own state, what would you chosse as your state bird? Write this in your notebook. Explain why you would choose that bird.
What creatures or things fascinate you? Spend some extra time observing and sketching those things.
Visit http://www.naturesongs.com/birds.html . Can you identify different birds by their calls? Can you make some of them yourself?
Spend a week watching birds. Record each different kind of bird you see. How many can you notice? You may want to fill out a journal page for each kind of bird you see. Here's ideas of what to enter in your journal:
